The Commonwealth Business School’s programmes are CUSTOMISED to the needs of the countries where they are delivered and TAILORED to meet the challenges of the wealth creating and public sector organisations. The programmes are vocational and practical. They focus on achieving measurable improvements in organisational performance and developing leadership skills at all levels in the critical areas of defining and IMPLEMENTING business strategies.
Our ACTION LEARNING approach focuses on defining “corporate” and departmental strategies, cascading these into interconnected management teams at all levels, enhancing the leadership skills of managers responsible for engaging the hearts and minds of their team members and developing world-class processes and working practices. Our training programmes accomplish this through five activities.
First, in INDIVIDUAL PROJECTS that define and implement business improvement plans based on comparing best practice with current performance and measuring output.
Second, via GROUP PROJECTS that solve critical “business” problems and facilitate an understanding of group dynamics and how high performing teams are created.
Third, through PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PLANS (PDPs), where participants remove their managerial/leadership weaknesses, learn how to reflect on their behaviour and learn from their mistakes.
A cornerstone of every programme is individual TUTORIALS conducted by the Programme Director.
Finally, we deliver state-of-the-art workshops covering “technical” and managerial elements, delivered by experts in these specific areas.
The Commonwealth Business School’s programmes can be delivered in-company, to a single client organisation, where there is detailed focus on the core specialisation of that organisation. Programmes can also be delivered to a consortium of companies in the same sector, or as open programmes. |
