The Commonwealth Business School is a specialist business school committed to programmes that add value and whose output is measured in business performance terms. Our aim is to create a “critical mass” of leaders able to deliver a “renaissance” in performance in their organisations in emerging markets. The renaissance was a time of radical change, creativity and insight. Today’s globalisation of markets and technologies requires similar responses from organisations and individuals. Our intention is to offer programmes that develop organisational excellence and innovative and creative leaders who are committed to continuous performance improvement, and delivering clear sustainable competitive advantage.

The core activities of the Commonwealth Business School include customised Action Learning leadership, management and technical skills training programmes; international trade consultancy; and specialist technology transfer knowledge and skills.

The faculty of the Commonwealth Business School have 20 years experience of running leadership programmes in 65 organisations worldwide. Their experience has shown that, while new ideas and knowledge are important, the critical problems in organisational life are to do with the lack of competence and commitment in EXECUTING these ideas and strategies. In addition, organisations have difficulties in creating a climate where innovation and individual flair can flourish and where senior management are “connected” with middle and junior management.
