The School’s portfolio of programmes focuses on four sectors:
The
Infrastructure Sector,
that is,
Programmes in single organisations or several together, in specific infrastructure sectors, such as telecoms, electricity, water, waste, construction, ports and airports.
Open programmes dealing with specific subject areas in the project value chain, such as the privatisation process, regulation, project finance (PPP etc), risk management, the tendering process, management of sub-contractors etc.
The Private
Sector
in Emerging Markets, including for example:
Manufacturing
Extractive sectors, e.g. mining, oil, gas
Hospitality and tourism
Banking and other financial services
Retailing
The Parastatal Sector, covering all sectors removed from direct government control.
The Public
Sector,
covering civil services, their ministries and support
services.
The International Trade Sector, covering ministries of trade and regional trade bodies.
In each of these sectors Action Learning programmes can be conducted at several levels and for specific functions, depending on the client’s needs. For example, we can CUSTOMISE programmes for:
Executive committees and boards of management in single
organisations or several organisations, working together in
a “consortium”.
Senior managers.
Middle managers.
Junior managers, with special emphasis on “first line”
managers.
Managers in specific functions, such as procurement and human resources.
Programmes at each of these levels can result in qualifications awarded by leading universities with whom the School have collaborative arrangements. These qualifications are offered at Doctorate, MBA, MSc, Diploma and Certificate levels.
Many of the programmes offered by the School are based on the activities of the School’s faculty in their previous roles within the International Centre for Organisational Management (ICOM), which was established in 1985 to focus on “In-Company” Action Learning programmes. The 65 programmes mentioned above were done by the ICOM faculty, who are now the core of the School’s faculty. These programmes are listed below: |
